My situation is very similar to this historic thread but none of the discussed potential solutions in there seems to work: ESS exports excess solar to grid instead of charging Pylontech battery - VictronEnergy . Victron with AC-coupled SolarEdge - no battery charging from PV is a similar case too.
I have a MultiPlus-II 48/8000/110-100 along a set of batteries and a SolarEdge PV Inverter (AC-in 1). My Cerbo is a GX MK2.
The issue is the plant exports all solar produced energy directly to the grid rather than using it to power the house, then charge the batteries, then if applicable export the rest to the grid. The ESS setting is set to “Optimized with Barry Life” but setting it to charge the battery doesn’t make a difference.
The ESS setting is configured with a 50W grid set-point and the schedule is set to charge batteries from the grid on weekdays from 00:00 for 7 hours, there’s no other scheduling I created or set.
Another example of the same behavior:
When the house consumption is higher, it takes all the energy from the battery (if available) while still exporting all FV production directly to the grid.
My grid feed-in setting, in case these matter:
Is there a setting I’m missing that allows I set the order of use of PV (house consumption, batteries charging, then export to the grid)? Thank you.
