Hello Victron lovers,
I am facing a issue that blocks the PV generated energy from being directed to the battery. Excess PV energy is always being sold to the grid, even though the batteries are not fully charged.
Inverters 3 pcs.×MultiPlus-II 48/8000/110-100 (3 phases)
Battery 8 pcs.×Pytes V5A (40kWh / 800Ah) – CAN-bus connected
PV Inverter SolarEdge SE16K (AC connected to AC-Out)
Control Cerbo GX with ESS assistant
Energy Meter ET340
The only way to charge the battery is to manually request charging. Cerbo GX > settings > Device > MultiPlus-II 48/8000/110-100 > Pres to start charging the battery to 100%
My goal is to achieve the following energy flow logic:
When the sun is shining and the PV system is generating energy, it should first supply the house’s electricity needs.
If there is excess energy, it should charge the batteries.
Once the batteries are fully charged, any remaining energy should be exported to the grid.
During nighttime or low solar production, the house should use energy from the batteries.
This scenario mostly works as expected, except for one issue: the batteries do not charge automatically when there is excess solar energy.
Could you please guide me on what to check in the configuration?
Is there a specific setting or logic that might be missing or misconfigured?
Thank you in advance for pointing me in the right direction!
BR
Marius
P.S. I am attaching the MultiPlus-II configuration.
