MultiPlus-II AC terminal ferrule length (fine-stranded cable)

Hi everyone,

I need to rework the AC wiring on my MultiPlus-II 3000 and would like to replace the existing solid conductors with fine-stranded cable using insulated ferrules. The installation manual only states: “230 V AC connections – screw terminals 13 mm² (6 AWG)” but does not specify the insertion depth or ferrule length.

Does anyone have practical experience regarding the appropriate ferrule length so that the metal part of the ferrule sits fully inside the terminal, without the plastic collar being clamped?

For context:
• Cable size: 6 mm² fine-stranded
• Application: AC input / output terminals (L / N / PE) on the MultiPlus-II 3000
• Not the DC side

Any practical guidance, recommended ferrule lengths, or example photos from real installs would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Ewald

The ferrules are clamped by one screw per terminal, and the terminial it self has a certain depth. You could measure the depth and decide which ferrule lenght would fit best. And if the ferrule is a bit to long, so that the plastic collar does not touch the terminal, you can cut the ferrule in length a bit, after pressing it first.
