Multiplus II 48/5000 Screw Terminals are Back!

Just received my new Multiplus II 48/5000 and the thing I was worrying about most (the AC wiring connections) has just been blown out of the park.
My unit (Serial HQ2347xxxxx) has White Screw Down terminals on it rather than the Green Push Fit ones that seemed to be a liability. When did they change back?
Now, the manual included with the unit says Screw Terminals 16mm² (6 AWG) so which is it?? 6 AWG is supposed to be 13mm², do I risk ordering 30 metres of 16mm² only to find it won’t fit?

Actually needing AC wiring that heavy would be pretty rare, but that’s between you and your installer. Anything from 13.3mm2 to 16mm2 equates to 6AWG, though, so the specs are correct, and order what you need in accordance to your ampacity.

The price difference is negligible, and I’d rather over spec the cable than under spec it, I’ll try to get a sample to test first if I can.

On my MP II 48/5000, 16 mm² fine-wired is fitting, including ferules crimped in square.

Btw, if you are by any chance located in, or travelling through, Switzerland, I have some leftover 3x16mm² “flexible” new cable here (I had to change the placement of the AC closet after having ordered the cable), and it is looking for a life at a well discounted price.

Thanks Beat, I can get 126 x 0.40 strand 16mm cables for £2.65 per metre in all sorts of colours. It would cost more in fuel than the cable costs
I have a hydraulic crimper so will give it a go.
