Hello. Please help with advice.
Just bought Multiplus II 3000 48V 35-32GX, and work with 105Ah LiFepo4 smart battery.
From new it make buzzing-humming noise at low 30-200W consumption, but it was 30sec for 1 hour, now it start buzzing all the way. When disconect AC input, noise go away, just a little buzzing hard to hear, but when connect to AC is very loud.
Is it normal for Multiplus ? All uptated to last firmware via VRM system.
Try to restrict battery charging with DCC and is not help, not charging problem.
Make a little video of the behaviour … either from the Remote Console or VRM
Your battery is probably being recharged after all
but you can see this clearly in the video
Show your settings from the ESS menu again
Do you have communication with the battery …
I have communication with battery, inverter is in " External control" state, and charging is easy to see in VRM Advanced logs. Inverter is in bypass mode, and low load. When charging is another type of noise , and cooling fans working.
You first could try to reduce your Charge Current via VE-Configure / Charger
But there are already a lot of reports about this humming and also suggestions for solutions … some with assembly changes
Just search for “humming” and /or “noise”
Is not charging issue, it start when is no load, just 50-200W consumption and battery fully charged . I look at BMS and at remote console and 0 Amp DC current. When I make AC in off- there no loud humminj, just hard to hear little. I dont use ESS Assistant, and try to reduce charging current to 0 via DCC, not help,
Sounds completly normal, its the transformer humming
Mine do that too (3 pieces), alltough they vary one is louder then the other
Inverter work about 5 days, and humming always, but now is about 10 times louder then before, and is all the time, not like 30 sec humming and 1 hour quite like it doing before. Buy Multiplus because all feedback I read, was is about really not noisy inverter, so will have to look for some another with passive cooling , like Deye and etc.
If you have doubts about the humming contact a local victron dealer
Multiplus 2 are not silent, they always hum/buzz, and sometimes really loud
fan makes a lot of noise too
Lot of users experience noise
If you want more silent you could use RS series
Yesterday it stop loud humming, and for now is really low noise, like before. No changes in voltage, or consumption or settings. Like sometimes is go resonancing from grid frequency or some internal process is going in invertor. All the time is in bypass mode and battery full charged.
You could also place your multiplus on a rubber damping mat, with rubber plugs to decrease noise
A lot off users do that (me too), to avoid noise coupling from the wall
