Multiplus II (230v) AC screw terminals

Hi,

I just received my MultiPlus II (10000/140/100) and after watching several videos on them, I was surprised to remove the cover and find threaded terminals on the AC connections - the same as the DC, instead of the green push connectors.

What’s the best way to connect in to these? - some kind of lugs?

I was going to use 16mm T&E (which has 6mm earth).

Is there a better recommendation for cable?

It’s for domestic use and to connect to a consumer unit (with a 40A RCBO for now, but wanted to over size the cable for future flexibility, hence the 16mm).

I know they are behind a cover, but they are remarkably open for live connections, once you remove the cover!

Thanks,

Ian

Those bolt style terminals do need a crimp on lug on the connecting cable.

I found it in the manual, they are M6 - which seems right as they are a little smaller than the DC connections which are M8.

Have ordered some lugs - as well as some H07RN-F EXTREMEFLEX90 cable, which I think will be more suited / easy to work with than the 16mm T&E.

All terminal should be made with lugs. not very expensive and much better that bare wire

cheap to buy on amazon
