Why does product description of multiplus 12/2000/80 inverter and charger for 80 amp battery say “for 80 amp battery”
Where are you seeing that description? Victron’s product page doesn’t seem to say that, so I assume you’re seeing that on either a reseller’s page or Amazon or something.

In response to searching for Victon Multiplus. It occurred to me after your response that I should have looked on the Victron page directly.

The unfortunate reality of Amazon (from personal knowledge, as I work for a Victron distributor who also sells some very limited Victron products on Amazon) is that no one is really in control of the listing content on that platform.
In theory Victron provided the original “A Plus” content under which authorized sellers could list products (Victron does not sell directly, including on Amazon) but Amazon’s “AI” and various algorithms that have been unleashed on the platform quite frequently and thoroughly bork up the data in the listings, or assign listings to incorrect categories, or improperly combine products that to its poorly-programmed gaze appear identical but in fact are very different, and so on and so forth… so pretty much anything you see on Amazon should be taken with a big grain of salt with regard to its veracity since it’s entirely possible -if not actually quite likely- that a budget AI hallucinated up whatever specs you might be reading there.
