Mppt initial config

Hello. I am a user who is trying to learn about green technologies. For this, I bought my victron 100/50 mppt, 4 lifepo4 eve mb31 cells, a 550W amerisolar panel. Obviously, I am missing things, but, I am going slow, mainly due to a budget issue. When I received the mppt, I was confused by the fact that it does not have a power source. It has battery and panel connections. The question is if the initial configuration can be done (as explained by the AI), connecting the batteries (which I do not know yet if they come with some charge, they arrive today), and then, the solar panel. If they come with some charge, the mppt will be energized. If they come without charge, I understand that if I make the connection during the day (with sunlight), I will receive some energy to configure the mppt. Is this so? I would not want the mppt or the batteries to break on the first use. The other question, which I don’t know if it’s for this place, is if I need to pre-charge the batteries before connecting them to the MPPT (I understand that I don’t, but if someone can confirm it for me, all the better). I come from an experience in solar energy with a jackery 1000 to power my refrigerator (where everything is assembled, and basically, it’s plug and play). But, well, this thing of managing each component is much better. Thanks to those who can help me.

Please ignore the AI. (Or at least verify it knows what it is talking about) And read the manual.

In the mppt manual in the installation section it tells you to step by step.
After mounting

  1. Connect the battery first. (Checking polarity)
  2. Then program it
  3. Connect PV
  4. Check it is charging correctly

Agreed. I saw AI recommending products that don’t exist.
