I have an MP II 24/5000/120. On initial setup I am unable to change some of the settings. In the Inverter TAB I can change the DC input low-shutdown voltage via the drop-down box and enter selecting OK I get a green tick but the voltage doesn’t change. The set voltage is less than my BMS shutdown voltage. Same for the low reset, pre-alarm, absorption and float voltage. Am I missing something?
What value are you trying to set?
Ideally though you don’t want the inverter to shut down after the battery.
And how are you trying to program it as there are several methods.
The BMS is set to shutdown at 20.3v but the DC input low-shutdown is showing 18.6v. If I try and change it to 21.8 as per the documentation of 1v higher than the battery setting it won’t change. I am using the Mk3 dongle via the RJ45 and USB cables and the Victron connect app.
As I said none of the battery values can be changed.
Please see to reply to LX. Mk3 USB programming dongle to the inverter and Victron connect. The firmware was updated to the latest release before programming started.
Two thoughts here.
- When you update these low voltage settings in VictronConnect it is no good making the change, getting the green tick then exiting VictronConnect. You have to back out of the setting page and reset the device which involves it shutting down and restarting. The setting is then memmorized.
- You are running incompatible inverter firmware and VictronConnect. I have v552 and v6.16 respectively and this works, as long as point 1 is followed.
Thanks for the reply, the same firmware is installed. I tried your method but no joy. Even when the value is changed in the dropdown box the original value doesn’t change. as per the screen shot above. Something must be preventing the change.
Its an oddity definitely.
There is generally no setting that inteferes with that one. (Other than setting it higher than the low restart - which is not the case here)
All i can suggest it flashing it with firmware from victron professional or trying ve configure?
Fixed.
The VRM also didn’t show Remote VE Config or Firmware update options in the devices tab? So something needed to be reset somewhere. I rebooted the touch screen 70 and reopened the Victron Connect and it all worked again.
Thanks for your input.
