I need to load ESS app onto my Victron. I have a Cerbo gx but I believe the cable is required?
Don’t suppose anyone is in East Riding/York area with one I could borrow or buy?

You can program it remotely via vrm - see remote veconfigure manual.
First download the default file from the inverter, then modify with veconfigure and upload the new one.
It is always good to own a mk3 for emergencies.

Managed to configure as you said thanks. I see you maybe around East Yorkshire? Did you get someone to sign off to get the MCS cert?
Not quite, can’t survive the weather. I’m in central South Africa. No sign off required.
