Hi, I am in need of some setup advice. I have just bought a Smartsolar 75/15 controller to charge the deep cycle 12v lead acid battery on my RV. When it comes to selecting the battery in the app, I dont see a preset for flooded lead acid. Can anyone tell me if there is a suitable preset - surely it is a common battery type and I thought that there would be a preset for it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
The trouble is there are various types of FLA and there are different voltage requirements as for any lead acid. Victron Gel 2 is a safe setting, but is a bit too low for some FLA, you could edit it to 14.5V from 14.4V. You should get the recommended charge values for your battery from the manufacturer / supplier and set up a user profile.
