LIne 1 and 2 AC Output on Multiplus ii 2x120

I have a boat with 50a service broken into 2 30a sub panels. I would like to power both sub panels with 120v ac with an inverter. The multiplus ii 2x120 states in the description in the manual “The inverter/charger switches to inverter operation when no AC source is available. The inverter output is 120V single phase. In
invert mode, the inverter/charger connects both output lines (L1 and L2) together to provide 120VAC to loads on either line.” But then further down in the manual it states “A second output is available that disconnects its load in the event of battery operation. On these terminals, equipment is
connected that may only operate if AC voltage is available on AC-in-1” which tells me that once no AC input is detected AC out 2 produces no power.
My question is will the multiplus ii 2x120 provide output power on both L1 and L2 if no AC input is detected?

Thanks in advanced for your replies.

Yes, see the diagram below. The left configuration is when the 2x120 is running on inverter (no AC input).

Important note: When running on inverter, the L1 and L2 are the same 120V, meaning that 240V is not available between L1 and L2. If you have any 240V loads, they will not function on inverter power only (they will see 0V).

Also note that AC-OUT 2 is disconnected when inverting (as you said in your post).

Perfect, thanks for the reply.
