I have a boat that I am in the process of converting to a Victron-based electrical system. Right now the boat has two 120v/30A shore power connections feeding two separate 120V AC circuits. In some marinas, the two 120v/30A shore power connections are in phase with each other. In others, there are two 120v/30A shore power connections out of phase with each other. And sometimes there is a 240v/50A connections with two hots out of phase with each other and you use a dogleg adapter to connect.
is the Multiplus-II 2x120 the right inverter/charger for this? My thought is that the hot from each 120V/30A outlet is connected to L1 and L2, respectively. And then the neutrals would be combined. When both legs have voltage, the Multiplus would keep them separate, but if there was only power on L1, or none at all, the output would be combined. The big thing obviously is making sure that out of phase circuits are not connected together.
