Has anyone connected their JK Inverter BMS via can cable to their VE.Can Solar controller and terminated at the Cerbo GX.
If so did you use a type A cable between the JK and the solar controller and a regular ethernet cable between the solar controller and the carbo gx?
Hey,
I don´t think that this is the correct way to connect.
My understanding:
As the Solar controller cannot be used as a tunnelling device, the BMS must be directly connected to a VE.CAN Port of the GX and also the Solar Controller needs a single connection.
So in the end 2 used VE.CAN ports at the GX.

Yes. You can.
The CAN pinout at solar controller is the same as at Cerbo’s.
With the condition that all devices work on the same CAN speed.
But you can always try…
Ups okay,
I did not know that daisy chaining is possible, so I was wrong. Sorry for that.

My understanding is you would use a Victron Type A cable if you are connecting the JK Inverter BMS directly to the Cerbo GX. In this configuration would I use the Type A cable to connect from the JK to the solar controller then a regular ethernet cable to connect the solar controller to the Cerbo GX???
As you can use a regular ethernet cable between MPPT and Cerbo, it means that both Cerbo and MPPT CAN ports have the same pinout.
So it doesn’t matter where you connect the BMS, through a type A cable, as long as you use a type A cable for the BMS.
