JK BMS connecting to Victron Cerbo MKII

Hi
Just got a new JK BMS B2A8S20P with a RS/485/CAN port. Tere is a red and a black cable, guess it is red positive and black negative.

What do I need to connect this BMS to Cerbo MKII via CAN bus

Unknown to canbus.

Have a look at jk to victron here GitHub - mr-manuel/venus-os_dbus-serialbattery: Battery Monitor driver for serial battery in VenusOS GX systems

You need an adapter (there are 2 versions)

Thanks !

Hi

A bit confused…

Do you have a part number for this ?

What else do I need to connect it to Cerbo GX MKII ?

The BMS I have is a JK BMS B2A8S20P HDC

I have got suggestions on to use a communication bord ???

I really need some help on this

A simple google search of " jk bms rs485 module" should bring up what you need.
Just remember there are two variants, get the correct one specified for your bms.

I have only the A and B connected (no ground and no +)

I would say this one

Yes, you need a 4-8S version

Hallo

I’m using the “Peter-board”

It connects to Victron with a “BMS A” cable via Can, no need for a MKII

shop.jamestronic

very expensive solution

yes thats true

but there’s no driver to install, i had never a problem with updates

it s working out of the box, a native solution

serial battery is not with out problems, when you want to use gui-v2

I had some problems in the beginning but after an update the problem was solved.

For security I use isolated RS485-USB adapters and have 3 JK BMS (2x16S +1x8s)Battery and a small JK BMS (8S) test battery and all work as a charm with SerialBattery

There is Yambms, ESP32 based so inexpensive

Actively developed, RS485 and Bluetooth also supported is the Smart shunt which is great for negating SOC drift

Thanks, looks great
