Hello,
I have a Smart Inverter 12/3000 which is currently always switching off with the message that the battery voltage is too low. The app shows the inverter at 0.2 V.
All the other Victron devices show the correct 14.x V.
When I measure at the 12 V terminals on the inverter, I get 14.x V.
What could be causing the problem, and what can I do?

Are you using one of the cheap Chinese ‘breakers’ in the inverter feed?
I had one of these so called 200A breakers on a Multiplus 24/3000 that would drop the voltage under load from 24v to 2v without getting hot! They really are rubbish.
Changed it for a quality Durite breaker at about 10 times the price (Blue Seas 187 series I think are more widely available), and all has been fine since.
Lesson learnt - don’t try to save a few pennies on breakers

Has it ever worked? Has it maybe been inadvertantly switched off or the remote switch link come unplugged? I believe it will still show in Victron connect even when switched off provided the battery is connected, although you would still expect the battery voltage to show correctly I guess.
Do you have a picture of the wiring that may help the community to better understand the installation?

It worked perfectly from the time it was installed (a year ago). And for the past two days, it has suddenly stopped working, with the error mentioned above.
I therefore assume that the device is faulty.
It would seem that way.
Best bet then would be to create a support request.

Have you switched off the battery?
No, everything is up and running
What’s a little dubious is that you can still reach the inverter via Bluetooth, but it supposedly only has 0.2 V.
Have you measured whether the battery voltage at the connection terminals remains stable when switching it on?
If possible, I’d reset it to the factory settings once more.
Are you using VE.Smart Network? If so, I’d also remove it from there for a while.
The jumper for the remote control has already been mentioned too…
I’m running out of ideas otherwise…
If nothing else helps: the product has a 5-year warranty…
I sent the device in. The error/defect was confirmed. I’m getting a new device.
