Inverter not charging batteries on Bulk

I have a Quattro 48/10000/140. When the generator is running the Bulk LED does not light up and the generator only puts out just above what the the AC load is.

Example, batteries are on 57% AC load is 680 w and 10 kva generator is only putting out 733 w.

If the AC load is high when the generator is started it usually puts out up to 6000w

I think the problem is in the settings. Can anyone help please.

@Robert53 Is it an off-grid setup with no grid supply on ACIN2? (Generator should be on ACIN1.) New install or something changed? What battery chemistry e.g. LifePO4 or LA? What settings have you configured on the inverter? What is the battery voltage and where do you derive the SOC from e.g. system or battery monitor.

Hi, It is an off grid set up with no grid supply on AC In 2, the 10 kva generator is connected to AC in 1. The system was installed in Nov 2024 and has never been operating correctly, The batteries are LifePO4 7 x 3.5 kw. I don’t know what setting are on the inverter and am not sure what to look for. The batteries are 48v but usually sit around 52 to 57v. SOC comes from the system (not 100% sure).

@Robert53 As a start, If the system has a cerbo and is connected to vrm, you can download the config file to a PC and edit it with ve.config as required. Alternatively you will need a dongle and PC. You will need the ve.config in both cases and will find it on the victron website. You can also use the victronconnect app and a dongle to connect to the ve.bus system directly. The system has to be configured as per battery manufacturer specs etc. and LifePO4. All is well documented on the Victron website so start there. You may also have to inspect individual batteries to ensure they are working correctly and is not blocking a charge or something, especially if not connected to a cerbo and sending data to it. Post the battery model details also.
