Battery not charging; Status on Ekrano GX displays generator running on SOC

We just commissioned an AC Coupled system 90kVA comprising 6 unit of Quattro Inverter with Fronius PV Inverter.
We set Gen Aut-Start to trigger Generating set to start charging at 20% SOC, but unfortunately it doesn’t charge while the Gen set is running and the Elkano GX status already confirmed it’s running. Having checked, I confirm all parameters are on order.

Meanwhile, once the setup is manually bypassed it starts

charging.

Have you checked with a connection to grid ?

What is the incoming frequency ?

Is the input direction l1-2-3 the same as output ??

Have you tried in "charge only " mode ?

Incoming frequency is 50.6Hz

Yes, it is programmed L1, L2 & L3 respectively

No, I didn’t try on charger only

Pls check phase following with the appropriate tool

Maybe your generator is wired 1-3-2

Thank you Lado will check when I get to site this morning.

Meanwhile, will activating rare floating L1, L2 cause inverter from accepting charging?

Its a combination machine, at this moment your 3ph equipment would evtl run backwards…

Okay. Once I visit the site I will consider a reconfiguration and check the input cable sequence. Will revert on the outcome.

Thank you

Having visited the site, the only resolution is reducing the DC charging current and the entire setup resumes normal operation (Inverter accepts diesel generating set charging)

Meanwhile, I want to further ask out of curiosity what technical logic could warrant adjusting DC charging current on Victron Quattro Inverter before accepting power from diesel generating set to charge???

The instantaneous load on the genset can cause it’s power to go offspec, then the Quattro will reject it. Try ticking ‘Dynamic Current Limiter’ in the Quattro, which will wind up the Input Current to it’s set limit over a few seconds and give the genset a chance to adjust.

As an aside, the GX ‘Running’ indicator is only showing that it should be running. You can set it to alarm if it doesn’t actually start.
