Quattro 48/10000/140 stopped accepting generator

I have an off grid system with a Quattro 10000 inverter. Been running for 3 years and for the last 2 I have had intermittent overload alarms come up when I run the generator to charge the batteries. Usually I leave it for a while and then try again and all seems to be good. Its possibly happened half a dozen times. Now it has just decided to not accept my generator although this morning I tried once more and everything was fine…for a minute. Overload alarm came back on and inverter shut down. I have tried reading about it and seems to be that the generator isn’t putting in the right numbers but Im not sure as I know very little about the system and hate playing with electrical. I am on an island in the Pacific with just some locals and other retired expats and no help. Have tried for a week to get the company that supplied the system to check it as they can do so online but don’t seem to be having any luck so if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate the help.
The system is Victron with 6 2.5kw lithium BYD batteries. Renegade LC 6500J generator.
