I have lost my connection to Victron Connect

I’m not sure how it happened but I can’t utilize Victron Connect to see what is going on with my battery charging and solar output.

I’ve uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but that doesn’t seem to work.

I have also tried my few passwords, with the default and that doesn’t work.

I’d also like to find a Victron tech to discuss a Cerbo install in the northern Chesapeake, eastern shore area.

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

I’ve removed the personal contact information from a public forum, as that’s an open invitation to every spambot that crawls this site.

Local resources for reputable installers can be found by using the “where to buy” map and searching for installers in your area, or alternatively calling around to your local Victron dealers, as some of them will offer installation services or will have a shortlist of local installers that they’d recommend.

VictronConnect itself does not require a password - that’s VRM that would require that. If you’re just trying to see your local devices (BT), make sure you have “Local” selected at the top of your VictronConnect app rather than “VRM”.

Justin,

Thanks for your time & response.

I’ll chase down a couple of people on the map and see what I can get. We are on the eastern shore which is across the bay from Annapolis where the Victron people are on the western shore. As per your comment, they may be able to recommend someone closer to me (location = distance = billable time).

As to Victron Connect, Yes it is set on Local, and I used to be able to see historical data which without the password I can’t. I’m not on the boat right now but as I remember, data was very limited without logging in. It seems ridiculous to have a password in the 1st place, but unfortunately I don’t have the input to change that. Maybe if I can get someone to the boat we can get that solved.

Thanks for your help.

Justin,

I have attached some pictures that will show the errors that I have gotten as well as my setup on the gauges.

Hope this helps to solve my issues.

PS-Don’t have the Cerbo, yet, must be being picked up from the neighbors bioat.

Ah, okay, so you’ll need to enter the PIN for each unit to get into that unit’s detail page; it’s worth noting that the suggestion of “0000” or “1234” for the PIN isn’t from Victron, that’s your phone’s OS suggesting that.

Victron PINs are 6 digits. Default is six zeroes (000000) but in many cases you might need to reset the PIN in any case (back to default six zeroes), using each device’s own unique PUK code. The solar controller’s PUK code will be on a sticker on one side of it, while the BMV’s PUK code will be on the sticker on the back of the display head.

Thanks again Justin.

It may be a few days before I am back on the boat and I’ll try your info to reset.

Why does it say 4 digits on the display?

That’s just your phone’s OS overlay that suggests that… no idea why phone operating systems started giving useless suggestions like that, but so it goes.
