How to use separate battery bank in home ESS

Hello,

I have a 12 volt DIY home ESS system that uses all Victron components except for the batteries which are 4x200Ah LiTime LiFePo4 in parallel. The system is centered around a 12/3000/120-50 Multiplus II with a Cerbo GX for the brain, measured with a Smart Shunt monitor, and controlled by a custom Python program I wrote. I have 2,500 watts of solar that feed the batteries through two SmartSolar MPPT controllers. The system is connected to the grid but I never feed power back into the grid.

To the point, I also have 2x270Ah Battleborn GC3 batteries for an RV that I store inside over the winter. My question is how can I integrate the Battleborn RV batteries into my home system while they’re stored inside. I was looking at the Victron battery balancer, but that appears to be for 24 volt and higher systems only and only addresses charging, not discharging. Any suggestions?

TIA

Jim

Since both the 200Ah LiTime batteries and the Battleborn GC3 batteries are 12V and LifePo4 ( same voltage and chemistry) you can connect them in parallel to your existing bank. And set the Smartshunt accordingly, add another 540Ah on top of your existing 800Ah.
