2 different batteries same eco system

I have a 2024 entegra Launch RV sprinter van that came with a lithionics 48 v 165 ah battery and external bms. Any possible way to integrate a victron 100ah 48v ng battery into my existing battery eco system? The lithionics 165 ah battery is just to expensive to add another one($8000)! Looking for a work around but this is a tricky one. Has secondary 48v nations alternator with external wakespeed 500 regulator. Wakespeed only communicates with one bms. Victron battery won’t work with lithionics bms. Just trying to add capacity to existing system using a victron battery with the lithionics battery in parallel. I know they are not the same capacity but charge and discharge are close enough that I could set the parameters to the least common denominator so to speak.. it’s tricky. Lithionics also uses m12 connections and victron m8. Can I add another wakespeed to my system using same 48v alternator, victron bms , victron battery paralled to lithionics battery? Impossible scenario? Amateur here looking for a creative mind to help me work through this.

Any additional battery would have to run in open loop mode (no communications with the alternator). The new battery would work, but it’s sort of at the mercy of Lithionics/Wakespeed decisions. If the Lithionics hits 100% state of charge but the new battery is at only 80% then eventually the new battery is going to be very unhappy. The fact that you’re adding a smaller battery is actually a good thing as it is more likely to reach 100% state of charge before the Lithionics. But that depends quite a bit on the IR of the two batteries.

My personal opinion is that I would look at a less expensive 48 volt battery. You won’t be able to connect comms to the new battery, so go with something less expensive to experiment with.
