A friend of mine runs a 3 x MP2 48/3000 ESS with pylontech batteries ,3 phase grid meter and cerboGX.
Now he is selling his RV and wants to add his 12V setup to his house for some extra capacity/backup.
The RV setup is a multiplus 2 12/1600, lifepo4 12/200mAh (litime), smartshunt, raspberry pi, usb-MK3, usb-ve-direct cables and a Orion xs 50.
I have node-red programming skills.
What would you guys do with this 2nd setup?
My friend has a nice spare electrical cabinet available he is gonna put it on wheels to make whatever we make transportable for mobile power applications but mainly it will be hooked up on his house.
1.) Should we build & second ESS with it? A virtual grid meter (calculated data in node-red) could represent the surplus energy we have now but not sure ESS supports the virtual grid meters in the beta versions for ESS automation. Making a software based mod-bus grid meter is also possible.
2.)Should we modulate the MP2 charger to store surplus energy for a critical loads application in the house?
3.)Other ideas, recommendations?
Kind Regards, Gerd
