Hi,
The ESS wasn’t funtioning anymore, so I tried the new beta version of the cerbo GX.This is when the problems started. There were 2 notifications: BMS connection lost and Low battery. I guess the low battery is because the BMS connection failed. So I checked the main menu. VT was showing up (victron BMS connection) and i checked if all batteries are visible. There are 3 batteries connected. That’s good. Why do I still get that notification? I rebooted the system. no change. So how can I hack the system and remove these notifications with SSH? what commands can I use to forcefully remove this error? This system is in passthrough mode now. Please help.
I have tried that, but unfortunatly I have overwriten a valid backup and the problem keeps popping up. Now I disabled the external grid meter and disabled the CAN BMS connection to disable these notifications. I removed the BMS device and grid meter. It is stil reporting no CAN BMS connection. Why? There is no CAN BMS connection at all now! So why is it still reporting there is no CAN connection?
It looks like the system needed a reinitialization after the software update. There was probably a conflict in the communication between the BMS and the ESS settings.
Good to know that disabling, removing BMS and grid meter devices, and re-adding the CAN BMS and Grid Meter can help reset the Victron software properly. Please also re-enable the settings in the “System setup”. That should solve the BMS connection error.
