Due to spacing issues, I need to mount my MultiPlus 12v/2000va/80amp horizontal in the electrical box with fans running. However, this version doesn’t seem to have any holes on the top side of it to secure it horizontally. It looks like some of the other versions may have options to do so, but I don’t see it in this version.
Multiplus inverters were designed for vertical mounting only, so anything else is at your risk and may invalidate the warranty. However, with that said, there have been many posts with horizontally mounted inverters, I think that if you are in a static environment, a block to support the ‘top’ end weight - where the transformer is, should be adequate, in addition to the provided mounting system - the hook and 2 screws at the ‘bottom’ of the inverter.
ok, I had not read that recently, stand corrected,
So if it says that in the manual, your warranty won’t be affected. My comment was based on the fact that the hook at the top has no method of supporting sideways force (when installed vertically) - so does not support the weight of the transformer when installed sideways.
