Mounting Multiplus 12/3000

Due to space limitations, I need to mount my Multiplus horizontally on my boat. The mounting bracket only “slips” on and is intended for vertical installations. Given that my boat will be moving around, any thoughts on how to secure the unit?

Ideally I’d use a couple screws through the case but I suspect that voids the warranty. Can I use straps around the unit?

Wondering what others have done.

I believe the Multiplus has two holes to screw the bottom edge as standard in line with attached quick guide extract;

The Multiplus 12/3000 looks different. I didn’t notice any screw holes on the bottom but I will look again.

The screenshot posted is the correct form factor of the MultiPlus 12/3000 - perhaps you have the MultiPlus-II 12/3000? In which case, there are still mounting holes at the bottom - look at the plastic “feet” on the back, they have holes in them through which screws or bolts can be run.

J - yea - I have the “II” version. I’ll check out the feet for screw holes. I didn’t notice any details in the instructions regarding this. Then to figure out how to install a screw on the bottom of the unit with no access from the backside. I guess I can use a small tab with another hole so that I can screw in from the top.

Once you take off the bottom installation cover to install your wiring and everything, you’ll see where you can run screws through the “feet”, it’s tricky but it’s definitely accessible.
