has anyone installed the multiplus horizontally compared to vertically, an if so anthing that ishould be aware of , 50 lbs i know is heavy but i can mount it safely
Yep. Lots of times. I have mounted it to plywood first and then to the wall. I have also used extruded aluminum to build a frame to attach it to first and then attach the aluminum frame to the wall. Not sure if it is endorsed by Victron but I have gone so far to take the case apart so I can fasten all four corners to the aluminum frame or plywood I am attaching it to instead of using the included bracket that is intended for vertical installation.
All works fine this way, just make sure to leave plenty of room for heat to dissipate. If there is any question at all of it not getting good ventilation add a 12V fan to the compartment.
