How to connect EasySolar II GX to my BSS with a MP2 Inverter

MORE System Upgrades

Purchased two more Pylontech US5000 batteries and they came with a VE EasySolar-II GX controller Now my plan later on this year is to build a BIG SHED in my back garden and have a FLAT but 15/20 degree slopping roof pointing south. Having just completed installing a polycarbonate roof for a friend. I was very impressed by the glazing bars and as she wanted an exceptionally thick 25mm multi wall sheet that got me thinking.

So I plan to use the strongest alloy glazing bars and position my roof joists at solar panel width spacings and use the glazing bars to support solar panels probably with some polycarbonate multi wall sheet to fill some gaps and make roof lights, and have no other roofing materials so I will get double benefits maybe triple ones ONE I will generate lots of electrical energy to feed my now eight Pylontech US5000 batteries TWO as the underside of the solar panels will be the inside of the roof then FREE Heating THREE as their will be no gaps be tween the solar panels and the roof structure (they being the one and same thing) there will be no need for bird netting.

NOW how do I connect this VE EasySolar-II GX MPPT 250 70 controller to my BSS with my Multiplus II and CERBO GX and eight US5000 batteries presently connected with two Lynx Distributors, each battery is connected independently (though with these two new batteries I may just add them to the battery array {temporality} With the small battery inter connect cables though that will mean moving the two battery cables that feed the MPII to the end of the Lynx Distributor and adding a fuse holder and a fuse, the feed to the MPII being at the moment in the number eight feed in position with a 200A fuse Which actually came with the VE EasySolar-II GX MPPT 250 70 controller

OR should I just sell this unit and install VE Smart Solar MPPT Controllers (like I have on my boat) as my intended LONG TERM PLAN is four sets of solar panels in four locations. That will need at least four if not more VE MPPT smart controllers sized for each array.

For the shed I hope to install at least six if not eight 500W panels I need to draw out a roofing diagram and of course I will design and build the shed sized around my needed {solar} roof area.

Thoughts???

If you don’t need the extra inverting power - sell it get mppts for the set up. You will need more solar charging anyway with a bigger bank.

Well it has a SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-Tr VE.Can solar controller inside so I thought maybe remove that.
As like you say unless I installed this in my garage {which is miles away from the house at the bottom of my back garden} to make the garage off grid I don’t really need another inverter.. MMMM I wonder if I could share/split the PV output on the garage roof with the MP2 in my cellar swap out the SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-Tr VE.Can solar controller in the EasySolar unit with a smaller MPPT Controller and have two strings one going to the garage and the other going to the house

The smart solar MPPT controller is around £330 to purchase new The EasySolar-II 48/3000 MPPT250 70 is about £1,000 to purchase new maybe I could put it on eBay for £600

Things just got more complex, and I still don’t have a HA automating my Octopus off-peak energy
