I am looking for answers on a series of questions regarding this MPPT RS 450/200 in various scenarios with equipment on the DC Bus. Can any professionals with experience assist?
Never experienced a scenario like that where there is no battery /dc reference at all
Usually they are connected to a common bus bar which often has an inverter on the bus as well so generally not much of a event as there is a load for the power to go to.
I would imagine though that if it was doing its rated 11kw and suddenly there was no connection for the power to pass through for the split second before it stops production there would be a heck of alot of energy with no place to go that couldn’t be good for internal electronics.
Possibly mechanisms could trigger such as

The pv goes to VoC (tracking and pwm stops) and so no power being produced. This is the most likely.

They do have pv short relays in them to shut down production pretty quick though in protection if there is a sustained issue.
All can be avoided with the correct fusing choice though.
