How do I best extend an RS485 Cable?

I have a 5m USB to RS485 cable, I inted to use for connecting Cerbo GX to the smart meter.

However, the 5m are not long enough and I need to extend it.

What is the best way to do it?

Can I use, say, a CAT8 Patch cable for it?

Extend the USB side with a USB extension cable
Simple easy quick and cheap

Cat 5 or 6 is good enough also
