GX Remote Console : VRM : gui-v1 empty, no overview, neither settings etc

Hello,

this morning around 5 o’clock , I got an notification from the FritzBox, that following device has logged on for the first time:

19.06.2025 05:04:09 PC-169-254-16-87 169.254.16.87 FE:37:5F:ED:D7:D1 LAN 1

Because I was not sure, if it is related to the Multiplus II GX Device (MP), I checked some setups in the local network and even tryed to look via remote console (gui Version 1) into the MP.

The result is as follows:

The graphic doesn’t show any values and block-pictures. Even the the hotkeys, settings and branches arn’t shown anymore. It doesn’t matter, if I connect via lokal network or direkt near via the MP’s own WLAN Access Point.

So I updated the MP to the latest offered firmware via Victron-Connect (from V552 to V556), but it doesn`t solve the problem.

Any ideas over here ?

PS: the gui was working Yesterday, I used it till midnight for observing.

Maybe this will help:

Dank je well Martiijn,

when I do a fall-back to v3.54 the gui V1 appears as it should be:

So this is exactly the FW-state when I detacted the problem this morning, before I started to upgrad to v3.60 . Straingh that it is now working. It would be interesting to know the difference using again the same FW v3.54.

When I now upgrade to v3.70-2 (newest offered by gui_v1)

the gui v1 is empty again:

So I switched again back to v3.54 for time being and may continue the next days with trouble shooting to find out how to fix this straingh issue.

Again thank you very much for your fast response !!!

Did you installed some packages such as guimods?
to check this you could scroll down in the settings menu
If the menu option package manager exists then you have

hmmm … not that I know

I went to the settings under gui v1, from beginning till the end

nothing to see like “package manager” if I understood you right.

Okay So it seem that your issue not related to any third party installed packages.

You can only check for mods via the cli.
If you open gui v2 on 3.60 and go to general modifications it will confirm if any mods are loaded.
The majority of issues are a result of mods loaded on the GX.

Hi Nick,

thank you very much for the hint !

I checked for modifications :

=> modifications in rc.local

Then I disabled the modification and rebooted.

but the gui_v1 keeps still empty.

Then I’ve done an FW update to v3.62~1 (provided online by gui_v2)

Afer that gui_v1 is working properly

many thanxs :folded_hands:
