I have just installed the first part in my off grid system, waiting for the battery and the solar panels. There are just one input on the EasySolar (48V 3000) and in my case I have inserted the cables from a generator! On the VRM Remote Control it show up as a Grid input. I can see the Generator symbol under but this looks not activated. Have I missed something? Any settings? Why does it say incoming from Grid and not Generator?
The EasySolar always needs a battery!
Go in the remote console → settings → system-setup
I guess you set one of the AC inputs to generator and the other to grid.
But it has only one input and it doesn’t know if you connect the grid or a generator.
Only with a Quattro you can have both.
Hi Matthias
Thank you for your feedback!
I’m just a beginner and still waiting for the battery and solar panels! Wanted to start/test it and tide it up to my WiFi and VRM Portal! That worked fine! It also forwarded the incoming electricity properly thru the EasySolar to the circuit panel and powered my little totally off grid cabin (some schukos and lights). But, for me I found it strange when, as you see on the screenshot, it says from the grid and not from the generator! I was also confused thinking I had installed the AC-in wrong but as you confirm this model only have one incoming for the AC. So, if I understand you correctly, I dont need to do any changes on the setting? Just wait to install the rest?
Best regards
If your input will only ever be a generator you can in the GX label it as such.
If you are really keen switch its designation when you change sources.
