Grid not showing on the dashboard

Hello everyone, as seen in the attached video, the grid readings are not showing up on the dashboard, despite being detected by the Quattro. This issue started after the government grid was shut down two days ago for maintenance. Note: During the maintenance, I installed 12 VM-3P75CT Energy Meters to monitor various loads, and one of the meters was left unused but placed near the grid cable due to the CT hole diameter not fitting the grid cable diameter. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this.

Thanks in advance!

It’s never going to read the grid if the coil isn’t clamped over the wire, this is a limitation of Victrons meter, not being able to go over 25mm2 cable @guystewart did say they where looking into it, but it’s a shame you can’t just add a normal coil clamp onto the unit as the clamps are calibrated as far as I am aware

Dear Daza,

Apologies for any confusion. As shown in my video, I selected the Quattro inverter/charger to monitor the grid parameters. The energy meter near the grid is simply for demonstration purposes. Since one of the loads was removed, I placed the energy meter on the grid side to avoid leaving it unused. Please ignore the energy meter, or if it affects the grid readings, I can remove it immediately.

Could you kindly guide me on how to resolve the issue?

Thank you!

I’m pretty sure the Quattro needs the coil clamp that comes with it to measure AC1IN it’s not like the Multiplus 2. It’s either jack plug or wire for the coil clamp ie if it has not got the jack then it’s to be hard wired the new ones changed to this style. Hope that helps PS I’m sure the blue Victron coil clamps are able to fit around a 25mm2 cable

Thank you for your response. My main issue is simply displaying the grid details on the dashboard. Quattro is capable of reading the grid parameters internally (please refer to the image below).
Quattro 15000VA|690x405
However, the dashboard is not displaying the correct details and is showing zero every time.

Additionally, the grid details were previously displayed on the dashboard before I installed the energy meter. I suspect that the energy meter is now providing the signal instead of the Quattro, which is not what I want.

by the way, last month i did same project 180KVA, 162KW PV and 90KWhr storage but i didnt use any energy meter and i didnt face any issue. (below attach for the project)

Check in ESS on cerbo then grid monitoring to see what it is set as

I already checked this point, its inverter/charger

Ah I see I’m at a loss the mate. Some Victron bright spark will come out soon with victon pearls of wisdom

Hi @Fadi,

I had a look at your site in VRM and it is reporting that it is connected to no less than 12 Victron Energy meters?

You didn’t mention this is in your original post, but are these all in use and correctly configured in VictronConnect?

None should be configured as grid meters, but as the other type of meters as they are being used.

You can ‘remove’ them from the GX device if they are not necessary.

That would be my first guess for what is going on here.

hello @guystewart
Thank you for your kind response. I’ve configured all the energy meters in AC load mode, but I might have missed one. I’ll double-check everything within the next two days.

Hello @guystewart , thank you. One of the energy meters has been misconfigured.
Additionally, I would like to share my project soon on the Victron community and would appreciate suggestions and feedback to make it better.

Thanks for reporting back.

Looking forward to hearing more in the Show Us your system space once you’re happy with it.
