VM-3P75CT Energy Meter adding to AC Loads when configured as Grid Meter

The Energy Meter seems to be measuring correctly, but the display on the Ekrano GX is wrong, it adds the meters value to the AC Loads, as well as sometimes including it on the grid connection side. (Yes the AC clamp is oriented correctly, when reversed it shows power going to the grid)

I am using the Energy Meter on a boat to measure the shore power, primarily to provide a voltmeter for the shore input as required by ABYC in the USA, because the sytsem doesn’t have an inverter/charger, but separate inverter and chargers.

The system includes two 12/50 IP43 Smart Chargers to charge the batteries that are the only things powered by shore power, and a 12/3000 inverter to power the AC loads on the boat (although most loads are DC). There are two shore power inlets, one for single phase 120v 60hz 30A service in the USA, and one for single phase 230V 50hz 16A service in Europe. There is also a smartshunt to measure house battery voltage and capacity and start battery voltage, a SMS for house battery temperature, the Ekrano GX and two VM-3P75CT Energy Meters - one for each shore power connection.

I have only configured one of the meters so far for 120V 60 Hz. It is connected to the Ekrano by VeCAN that is connected by daisy chain from one meter to the next to the Ekrano, with a terminator at each end. The VeCan communication works fine when the Ekrano and a laptop are on the same wifi network and I use Victron Connect.

When the Energy Meter is configured as a Grid Meter the metered power is displayed on the overview page as both a grid connection and an ac load when the inverter is off, and only as an ac load when the inverter is on. The AC load value displayed is the sum of the actual AC loads on the inverter and the power that the meter is measuring.

When I configure the Energy Meter as a solar inverter, the display is correct and shows the measured power as an input, except it’s labelled solar, not grid (this is how I’ve left it for now) and when I configure the meter as an AC Load, the display also shows the correct value for ac loads (only what the inverter is outputting) and doesn’t show a grid or solar connection at all, but you can see the charging power on the battery graphic, and the ac voltmeter is available by clicking on device list and the meter, which I have nicknamed 120V SHORE.

All software is the most recent version as of yesterday. I tried reverting the Ekrano back to the old OS and the display issue was the same, so I re-loaded the new Venus OS.

Is this an issue that Victron is working on and will it be fixed with a future software update for either the Ekrano or the meter, or am I setting up the meter wrong? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Side note - Why does the Ekrano think the inverter is a MultiPlus? For such a slick display it would be nice to configure more useful pages and customize the overview page to reflect the actual system more clearly.

I’ll provide pics and system drawing later, phone died and drawing needs updating.
