Hello All,
I’m used to working in the Victron Configure app, but logging into VRM, I see two settings that sound the same to me… What am I missing?
Is “Input Current Limit” on the DC side?
Thanks!
Hello All,

These settings are spelled out in detail in manuals for GX and Venus devices.
Just re-read through the GX manual, and I’m still confused… why I’m asking.
The manual is ambiguous, as far as I can tell. I’m sure obvious to someone who’s lived it…
I believe this shows the 2 AC-Ins of the Quattro.
in your case:
AC input 1 is labeled as Grid
Ac input 2 is unlabeled
For example
results in:
These limits are usually set in VE Configure, but depending on your settings there, maybe overridden

Grid is what is measured from your grid energy meter.
Input is what is measured on the AC-IN of your Victron system.
This is useful for example when you have loads connected on the AC-IN side and prevents your Victron system from overloading your Grid connection.
Sorry… still thinking this through…
I don’t have a grid energy meter, aside from the utility meter–not connected to anything Victron.
This is true for me.
So I don’t understand the distinction if AC Input 1 is Grid… Should I always use the same value in “Grid current limit” and “Input current limit”?
For the “Overruled by remote” … as I understand this, it allows someone in VRM to change the values from what is set in VE Configure, right?
Thanks
