Hi all,
Background
We have a system consisting of 4x 10k Quattros, in a 2x2 split-phase configuration (120v/240v). Venus 3.71, and Quattro firmware v556 with ESS Assistant 018E. Grid code ‘other’.
The grid is on the AC input side, and all loads on AC output side (loads internally metered by the Quattros).
Question
I was reading the manual and it seems to say this model has a minimum input current limit of 18.5A… given this 2x2 configuration that would mean 18.5*2 = 37A per “phase”. I am however able to set the grid input current limit to values below 37A… down to 2A.
As a test, I configured it to 18A last night and it seems to actually work. I’m surprised by this given the manual — can someone help me understand when the 18.5A per unit limit applies?
It seems a bit unstable below 18A (current occasionally jumps between positive and negative)… though maybe due to the load size / power factor.
