I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tablet A11+ that I am trying to setup as a “GX Display” kiosk thing.

Nothing yet… currently using the APK. But would much prefer the Kiosk solution.
I also have this issue. Seems like its the version of android firmware thats the issue. Android 16 is the issue.
I would have to agree mate. Hopefully a solution will come soon as the APK version is not seamless.
I had the same issue with a Samsung Tab A9+ running Android 15 and Android 16.
This is the solution that worked for me: Android GX Display v1.4 released - #9 by forest-gecko
This method installs the Victron Android GX display app manually in kiosk mode which is the exact same end result as using the QR code install method.
It is done using a computer with the Android Debug Bridge tools and a USB cable. Follow my detailed steps and then report back in that other thread
