Fixed: 13-01-2025: VRM experiencing some issues

Due to difficulties related to the VRM database cluster, you might experience some hiccups in VRM as we were forced to disable some features to keep VRM accessible to you all.

We hope to resolve this soon. Through this thread, I will keep you updated when there is news.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi Tim,

I expect this to be unrelated if your issue happened before 10 AM Dutch time today.

Would you mind moving your comment to its own post, so I can look into it and respond to you without cluttering this thread?

Thank you!

Features known to give issues right now:

  • Advanced page widgets might not load
  • Overall graphs might load slower than expected
  • DESS price graphs are empty
  • Some reports might return a query error

In how far you are affected depends on your installation’s size and devices linked. At the moment we try and block features to prevent VRM becoming unavailable as a whole.

Update:

All features are enabled again, so everything from the list mentioned above should be functional again. It might be that VRM still loads graphs slower than usual.

We hope to have returned to normal performance by tomorrow morning CET.

Update: the performance issues are now resolved too.

Today the system has not received any prices for tomorrow. They have also been delayed in the last few days. Is this related to your problem?

Same problem here. Particularly in light of the high electricity prices tomorrow, this will be a bit problematic

same = same, tibber customer in Germany here who rates the latest DESS performance as ‘not ideal’ to put it most empathetic…

Hey @Sarowe1990 , @Nilleholger and @JochenKu , we are fixing the missing prices right now. Should be there in an hour.

Thank you for reporting it with us!

it is sometimes difficult to estimate when to report here. On the one hand, a lot of criticism is sometimes expressed here in the forum. Sometimes it is completely unjustified. On the other hand, annoying malfunctions like this keep cropping up. Thank you for the quick response

For better or worse, I have set the DESS to Adhoc charge 100% mode and will switch off DESS tomorrow morning at 07:00 so that the system runs on battery as planned and does not draw any mains power. 62 cent/kWh, that’s not much fun if you don’t keep an eye on the DESS and it’s winter.

Thank you for fixing the problem promptly, but DESS, especially without the hack from dognose, is unusable because it makes nonsensical decisions (feeding in solar power despite battery space, for example).

Hi @Barbara

Could this be for the same reasons ?
Thanks!

Hi @alexpescaru , this will be fixed tomorrow. It has to do with an event log feature being on BETA but not yet on stable VRM, leading to BETA users seeing this on Production.

@Sarowe1990 @Nilleholger @JochenKu @jcollasius the German prices for tomorrow are available again.

Hi,what is the fix, I can’t replace my Cerbo on the VRM as it comes up with 1512

Hi @jvdspoel ,

The issue was instability due to server maintenance, so fortunately that is solved, but your issue is unrelated.

It was reported to us last week here: Error 1512 when moving VRM history to new installation

And my colleague will follow up in that thread today. Thank you for your patience and hope you have a great day!
