FELICITY LUX-E-48250 not going out of Bulk

Hi all,
I have the following set up:

  1. Multiplus II 8KVA connected to a Fronius Gen24 plus (that should be considered as Grid)
  2. Cerbo GX
  3. SmartSolar 250/70
  4. 3 Sharp 580wp in series.
  5. FELICITY LUX-E-48250 battery

The problem is that the battery always stays in Bulk even if the SOC is 100% for more than 5 hours.

I also get High Voltage alerts when ever it is charging only from the smartsolar.
When I charge the battery in combination from the smart solar and the Multiplus I dont get such error.
Any ideas why? and what I need to do since I am afraid that the High Voltage warning is stressing the battery, especially during summer time where there is lots of sun in Greece.

So in summary:
When I charge the battery either from the Multiplus or the Mutliplus + Smart solar I rarely get high Voltage warning.

When I charge the battery exclusively from SmartSolar (which means that the grid is disconnected from Multiplus) I get more than 50 messages of high voltage.

Is this normal for off grid systems that rely only on smartsolar?

Any ideas / help will be highly appreciated.

Any input as to what to investigate would be truly appreciated!!!

@ctsit

Since the battery is connected to the GX if DVCC is active then the battery is controlling the system.
Is everything programmed with the same voltages for absorption and float?
When offgrid the system will tend to shut down the ac pv before battery full to prevent overshoot as it is easier and faster to controll dc mppts to finish charging so there is an explanation as to why it only happens with the dc solar.

Ideally you would contact Felicity to check if the behaviour is normal. The battery is probably requestin that high charge voltage (check in battery details and parameters)
With newer set ups high cell voltage is not that abnormal.

I had the same problem. I finally solved it by reducing the charging voltage to 56.8. There’s a document by Felicity suggesting it. Check out this thread.

what setting did you change, mine has same problem but is already set at 56,8, do you have the document?

In my case the issue was solved with firmware upgrade.

May i ask you what version and how did you manage to do the update, thank you very much

My battery model is Lux-X, not Lux-E, which is probably why I can’t upgrade the firmware. Angi from Felicity offered it to me, asking for my email address, but then stopped replying.

Sorry for the double reply.

I’m currently working at 54.4V and it’s working fine. I charge it at 56.8V monthly because I don’t trust the cell balancing it can do.
