Multiplus II settings for Felicity LUX-E-48100LG04 (or similar)

Hi,
I was browsing through the Victron Battery compatibility page (https://www.victronenergy.com/live/battery_compatibility:start) and found this nice guide below, detailling the parameter settings for pytes batteries (see link below).
I’m wondering if anyone has created a similar guide for Felicity batteries? Or could at least help with guidance for the main parameters covered in the pytes document?
I’m setting up a system with a new LUX-E-48100LG04 (5.12 kWh). Communication with VenusOS is working fine (Battery is detected as Pylontech), but would be great to get proper settings for Voltages.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Anjie, is there any reason why it cannot be posted on the forum?

because it seems forum does not allow me to upload PDF file :smiling_face_with_tear:

Weird. How large is it?
Have you tried to zip it?

Hey there, also interested in this settings pdf, not just for creating the CAN cable.

Hi @OliverH and @Angie-Felicity

I have a question about your Felicity battery.
I saw that it is detected as a Pylontech battery.
Could you please tell me if the battery is also communicating the minimum and maximum cell voltages?
What about minimum and maximum cell temperatures?
I mean this info, below, from the Battery → Details menu in Cerbo.

And especially for @Angie-Felicity , if the above is true, is the LUX-Y-48300LG01 (15kW battery) doing the same?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Alex,
i don’t think so.
Maybe i lack experience, but I don’t see an option to navigate to a “Details” view for the battery.
So, the displayed information is pretty basic (trying to attach 2 screenshots below).

In case anyone figures out, how to display more details (incl cell voltages & temperatures), pls share.
cheers
oliver

Thank you!

Hi Oliver H,

can you please post how you have connected your LUX-E-48100LG04 to Venus OS ?
I have installed Venus OS on a Rpi 3 and trying to connect this battery but I am failing. 1st of all are you using the Com-Box or are you connecting the CAN Bus adapter directly to battery ? What SW Version does your BMS have and what CAN adapter are you using ? Thanks a lot. Could you please post a quick how to ?

@JimKnopf666
Did you see this reply?

@lxonline Yes I did. Let’s take it step by step.

Does LUX-E-48100LG04 support nativly Pylontech CAN BUS ? And on what port of the battery shall it be connected (Link0/1, PCS) ? Or is a com-box required to translate to Pylontech CAN ? What SW Version shall the Felicity battery be on ?

Did you contact the poster? Details in the thread.

@lxonline: Well actually the poster is (@OliverH) so I was hopping that he could answer my questions as I seem to have a similiar setup, that is the reason why I also started my post with “Hi Oliver H,”

Hi,
pls see photo below. Basically you need some CAN hardware extension for the RasPi. In my case the Waveshare CAN HAT. The rest is straight forward, as described in the connection pdf from Felicity.
I’ve used the PCS RJ45 port on the Battery (not the RS485).
On VenusOS, you’ll need to check if the CAN extension is visible (it shows under settings) and you might need to adjust the settings like described in the pdf.
Hope this helps!
