I just bought and installed a MultiPlus 2000VA in the camper. When it gets to work a bit, it starts its built-in fan, if it’s in the evening and it’s time to sleep, everyone in the camper starts wondering, what kind of tractor is that standing and walking a bit away?? No, it’s not a tractor, it’s the fan in the MultiPlus. The fan is certainly doing its job and there’s nothing wrong with the MultiPlus, but if the fan is going to be such a noisy model, a schedule must be introduced in VRM and Cerbo etc. that allows the MultiPlus to be stopped and auto-started at set times (daytime). Bad with such a noisy fan
Some fans do seem to be nosier than others. I have seen some posts indicating that the inverter has a “quiet” mode that can disable the internal fan - you are then temperature limited, and need to use internal convection cooling. This does limit the inverter power, but overnight this is not usually an issue.
yes I noticed that there was one after I posted. But is it time-controlled via that function? It seemed to be configured directly in MultiPlus and not easy to access via Cerbo etc
