Hello,
I operate a Victron ESS system and every now and then a strange phenomenon occurs.
On the Multiplus 2, the Main On and Balk lamps light up continuously and the Inverter On flashes.
The Multiplus are always short. The fans run louder at full throttle and then a little again. As can be heard in the video.
I couldn’t really find anything unusual in the VRM portal. No high performance or frequent load changes.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

But the system is configured as ESS. How can the power assist be active?
Probably set in multiplus, i don’t think ess prohibits power assist.
Why should PowerAssist cause such a behavior?
You might just check the victron toolkit for the led codes ?
I agree that the system is power assisting, but the fan noise is certainly interesting.
So no related loads - what is the base load though at this time? It is the same as other times?
Is the system charging at all or feeding back to grid?
I couldn’t find this code in the app.

Mains on + invert flashing = assist.
The bulk is probably a fault in the mp.
Feed-in with PV power - Bulk
ESS system.
Connected to mains, and synchronized with MPPT Solar Charger for grid feed-in. The charger is in Bulk. Inverter LED blinking PV power is used to power the loads, any excess PV power is used for charging.
Mains LED blinking - More PV power available than needed to charge batteries and power loads. PV power is being fed back to the grid.
Solution
Excess power supplied on the DC by the MPPT is used to power the AC loads and will also, in case of a surplus, be fed back into the grid
At this time of day, however, there was no longer any power coming from the MPPTs.
Then I’m in the dark;)
What firmware are you on?
Do you have the fan modification on these units?
The v552 is installed on the MP2 and only the ESS assistant is running.
