Hi forum,
I have an important client here that bought 9 EVCS chargers. THE NS version. They run a large ESS system with 3x15000 quattros, 45 kW PV AC and a small MPPT for blackstart.
I just started setting up their charger and since this installation is often supplementing from the grid, i had read about the EVCS that it is possible to charge the cars automatically even when using power from grid. Which is a must here. The factory often brings in grid, as the loads here are so large. I had read that this was no issue with the auto feature, yet it seems like i cannot get it to work. Please advise what to do. Eventually i will program a large nodered flow to manage all 9 chargers but for now i just need them to work when somebody plugs in their car and the system is grid connected, and above the SOC programmed in the EVCS.
i have alread tried to revert to FW 2.0 as it was said that this would solve my issue. But it didnt. for example now there is roughly 12 kW produced, 11 kW imported and still a lot of space to import more energy to charge cars. However the system won’t start charging the car. I need help quite urgently in order to get at least a few chargers going here. Am I getting something wrong as I thought this should have worked out of the box? or is there a conflict between minSOC in ess and the minSOC of the chargers? i read about writing a new value to a specific modbus registry, but I would like to have this confirmed by somebody who has been in this situation or is actively developing the EVCS NS chargers… Thanks so much for your feedback.
My settings:
ESS settings are to peakshave even below minSOC.
