EVCS don't start - waiting for sun

I have question regarding start of EVCS if I can export to the grid only 200W max.
Is there any chance to start auto mode ? There is always message : Waiting for the sun, because solar system is producing only for the house + 200W for export, but I think EVCS need production much hugher (+1300W ?) to start.
Is there any chance ? or only manually ?

Show us your settings.
Did you enable “allow low excess solar”?
With that option it should start with low grid export.
Do you also have the latest firmware installed?

My setup :

and mode battery powered :

firmware 2.1

You also need to enable “allow battery/grid power”.

The current FW version is 2.02.

please can you tell me what exactly is doing “allow battery/grid power for auto mode” and “allow low excess solar power for auto mode” ?
If I will enable “allow battery/grid power for auto mode” it will drain my battery ?

The settings are explained in the manual and I think the name also explains it good.

If there is not enough PV energy it will take some from you ESS battery.
But you have also settings for the SOC and a timer how long it will do that.

Just give it a try.

In the manual I can’t find “allow low excess solar power for auto mode”, but yes, “allow battery/grid power for auto mode” is there.
So auto mode will start immediatelly when minimum SOC is reached ? What are the other conditions for start? because I think only SOC isn’t enought to prevent cycling when battery is charged.

It starts charging if SOC is above “start changing above backup battery SOC”.

With “low excess solar” enabled it will also use the ESS battery until the “stop charging below backup battery SOC” is reached.

With “low excess solar” disabled it will start a timer “battery/grid timeout” if the solar power is too low.

But please just give it a try to find the best settings for your setup.

This is what I doesn’t understand.
example:
when “start changing above backup battery SOC” is set to 85% and “stop charging below backup battery SOC” is set to 80%. Car is connected when battery is fully charged, but there isn’t any solar power.
So charging will start and next 30min will charge the car on the battery. Then charging will stop for any time (don’t know how long) and if battery is still charged more than 85% charging will start again for next 30min ? … and this cycling will be there till battery is bellow 85% ?

I think there is any other rule for start charging, not only SOC. To find best settings I need to know how exactly it works.

There also needs to be some PV production.

I don’t want to explain ever single combination and circumstances here.

I suppose I can’t define this PV production value somewhere.
I’m really interested about details to understand it as much as possible. Is any raw description of combinations somewhere ?

doesn’t work :

Are you on FW 2.02?

yes

really not working. I was with the car out of the house, all is charged and charger is waiting for the sun.
Please which value is wrong ? How to start charging ?

looks like, that charging will start only when feed-in (export to the grid) value is around 1000W.
Is somewhere defined ? Can I decrease ? I can’t send 1kW to the grid.

Hm… it should start charging.
Manual mode is working?

How does it behave if the ESS battery isn’t at 100%?

Manual mode is working as expected. Behavior is the same when battery isn’t 100%.
But also behavior is strange when charging is running but solar power is low. It’s still discharging battery - no limit 30min. I stopped it manually after 1.5 hour of discharging:

this discharging started when I enabled this :

battery 76%, same situation :

So I did factory reset, we will see if there is any improvement.
