New v1.30 installed, same issue : sun is high and EVCS is waiting for sun. When do you plan to fix it ? This function is the main reason I got this charger, but is a total dissapointment.
Can you please add more information about your System and add some screenshots of the dashboard and the settings.
Please more information about your system!
On-grid? Off-grid? Components?
Also a screenshot from the dashboard that shows the problem.
I’m totally offgrid (16KW PV pannels) with 3 x Multiplus II (configuration = single phase) + MPPT RS450|200 + MPPT 150|45 + 67Kwh LiFePo4 + EVCS with display. When I’m connecting the charging cable (and EVCS is set on AUTO mode), charging is not starting with the message “waiting sun” on EVCS display. If I set it on manual mode, charging starts immediately. Even when I’m switching from manual to auto - the charging is not starting (with the full sun). There’s no other warning/error.
Incearca sa iei legatura cu Lucian @Lpopescu , care este expertul in EVCS.
Degeaba.Discut problema asta de cateva luni cu Lucian si nimic, nici o rezolvare.
Please keep the conversation on English.
Does that always happen or only if the ESS battery is at 100%?
It’s a sporadic issue, I need to retest conditions, but sometimes in the morning when battery is on bulk charging mode, auto mode is working.
What are you talking about? I don’t remember any discussion about it
Please make sure you’re selecting the right product category when creating a new topic, the name does not contain EVCS, it is tagged as something else not EVCS. I saw this randomly, normally I’m notified on EVCS topics.
This is what I found on older posts:
" if the ESS is configured NOT to export to the grid and the (house) battery is already full, the MPPT bank will be kept at idle by the GX device. The EVCS will read a low PV Output Power and decide there’s nothing to send to the car – this is NOT OK"
Is this true ?
I’ve added EVCS in the description. Thanks
can you give me system id for your system and ping me somehow when this is happening?
I will try different scenarios to catch the issue and let you know.
From what I am remembering from your other thread, in the Show your system section, you have DIY batteries.
Are they connected to Cerbo in order to send the CCL and CVL to the Victron environment ?
If yes, when they are full, which is the value of CCL ?
There’s no direct communication between cerbo and jk, but smartshunt only which is reporting to the system.Regarding yesterday test, evcs fired up in auto mode after ~10 min after charging cable was connected but with a strangely slow power increase up to max(2-3 times slower than regular).
in this morning, having 92% battery (bulk mode) evcs fires immediately.
