EVCS visible in the VRM list but missing from the VictronConnect app (iOS)

Hello everyone,

I’m having an issue where my EVCS is correctly detected and up to date in the VRM device list, but it doesn’t appear in VictronConnect on my iPhone when browsing devices via VRM.

Configuration:

  • Cerbo GX MK2, Venus OS v3.73
  • EVCS firmware v2.07
  • VictronConnect app v6.34 (iOS, updated to the latest version)
  • EVCS connected via LAN/Wi-Fi (not VE.Direct)

What works:

  • The EVCS appears correctly in the device list on the web VRM portal (EVCS-HQ24526W6AF, “EV Charging Station”), is updated every few minutes, and is fully functional
  • The EVCS appears correctly in the Cerbo’s Remote Console (Overview), with real-time data (power, kWh, status, mode)
  • I can see the EVCS locally via Bluetooth in VictronConnect when I’m nearby (although the connection is sometimes unstable)
  • In Remote Console → Settings → Integrations → Modbus Devices → Discovered Devices: EVCS-HQ24526W6AF is listed correctly and the toggle is enabled

What doesn’t work:

  • In VictronConnect (iOS), under the VRM tab, when I select my installation, the EVCS doesn’t appear in the device list
  • I’ve confirmed that Venus OS is above the minimum required version (v3.70) for the GX Connection feature with the EVCS, and that EVCS firmware v2.07 is above the minimum required version (v2.06)

Already tried:

  • Updating VictronConnect to the latest version (v6.34)
  • Checking the Venus OS version (v3.73), which meets the requirements
  • Checking that the EVCS is visible and active in the web VRM portal
  • Checking Modbus discovery on the Cerbo: the EVCS appears there and is enabled

Has anyone encountered this specific situation before (visible on the web VRM portal but missing from the device list in VictronConnect for the same installation)? Is there an additional setting that needs to be enabled on the EVCS (for example, a specific “remote access” toggle separate from basic LAN connectivity)?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello @Krys67600,

No, I’ve never encountered your problem, but I only use Android or Win11.

However, the EVS doesn’t appear in the hardware list:

But it’s not “serious”, since it can be controlled via the System tab, then Controls (top right).

Regards,
Patrick.

Hello guys. EVCS is available only in the Local tab in the Victron Connect app (i.e. local BLE connection). It will be available in the VRM tab (i.e. remote connection by MQTT) pretty soon. It is coming in upcoming releases.
