Problem new ESS Assistent

I encountered a problem with my ESS Assistant last night. I wanted to change some values in the Config Sys settings of my 3 Multiplus 2 3000. I was then informed that my ESS Assistant was outdated and that I should replace it with a newer version. Every time I tried to do this, the entire Config Sys Configurator program froze completely. Is this a general problem, or did I do something wrong? I’ve updated assistants several times in the past, and it usually went smoothly.

What firmware version is your inverter on?
Can we aesume the VE config is uo to date as well?

It is possible something strange happened in the programm update and just uninstalling and reinstall may help.

I would need to explicitly check which firmware version I’m running. I currently lack the means to do so. I’ve made several changes to the system over the past few months and updated the firmware multiple times, so I assume it’s up to date. I also didn’t receive any prompts to perform any firmware updates, only a notification that the ESS Assistant (marked with an asterisk (*)) was outdated.

Make sure it’s not plugged into the Cerbo at the same time as your updating the multi

Thanks for the advice, but I never get a connection to Cerbo when I’m using the config system in the MultiPlus. I’ve done that at least 100 times in the past three years.

The new ESS assistant doesn’t even have a changelog entry… it’s been brought up a few times on the forum. I would be hesitant to upgrade until you know what you’re getting.
