Hello! Is there a way to find out which master phase is not responding at all or is not responding in a timely manner? A more detailed log with the error “VE.Bus Error: VE.Bus Error 17: Phase master missing” the system is three-phase with 2 Multiplus ii 5000 / 48 - 70 per phase. The system has been working fine for about 1 year. It started to issue this error about a week ago. After the error, probably signaled by a Multiplus ii slave, the system restarts and works normally for a few days.
One year in, you are due for some checks anyway.
Check for loose connections and corrosion on the patch cables between units.
Thank you, I did this, I changed the cables with new ones 3 days ago but without success, the error returned. Today, because you answered me, I also cleaned the RJ45 jacks on the inverters. Now I’m waiting to see if I solved it. It would be very helpful to identify which device is not responding. If the problem is not in the wiring or jacks but in the communication module of the Multiplus or GX, then it is not feasible to replace the Inverters or the Gx one by one.
I tend to believe that the information related to which device is generating the problem does not exist, if it were accessible the information would have come in the error message.
Hi, the errors continued after that. There was also an overcharge error and a ripple error as well. The system is an on-grid one and the error only appeared in the evening when there was no solar production. Those errors sent me to check all the connections on the battery side and I found, to my shame, on the multiplus master L3 the “+” and “-” screws very loose, tightened only with my free hand, without a torque wrench. I set the wrench to 12 and fixed it. It worked like that for about 1 year, I was very lucky that it didn’t catch fire. I followed the installation specifications with a 70 mmp cable and a spring washer and I think that mitigated the heat emitted. Thanks for the advice and support.
