Hello, currently had two parallel Epoch 12V 460 batteries connected to the Ekrano GX VE.Can2. Set all the dip switches for master and slave but the batteries do not show on the Ekrano Devices screen. Set the CAN bus profile to 500 kbit/s, turned on DVCC (does not shows Epoch at Controlling BMS or an options). Please advise.
Epoch batteries are not on the Victron Battery Compatibility list so not officially supported, but it looks like other users have successfully gotten some versions up and running; looks like this guy might have the right settings for you to look at: https://youtu.be/OPnyte6DJg8?si=NZu4QOENCna8vAjy
Thank you Justin. Thought it was going to be pretty straight forward since the batteries came with wiring labeled Victron. Seen a couple of videos of users being able to hook it up but so far I haven’t been able to.
It gets a little tricky when a battery company claims “Victron compatible” while Victron has made no such assertion… we’ve seen a lot of that sort of thing over the past few years.
In theory the battery manufacturer would have specific instructions, since they’re the ones claiming compatibility, but I didn’t find anything from Epoch about that on a Google search at least, only other users working through what was necessary.
