Enphase modbus system not showed in VRM

It happened again, mine Enphase system doesn’t show up in VRM.
A re-scan of the PV inverters did help last time, but doesn’t seem to help this time.

Is there a way to check if Enphase did turned off modbus support?
Anyone noticed the same issue?

Update, port 502 (modbus) seems to be disabled by Enphase.
Are others also effected?

Bonjour

Did work more than a year perfect and certainly mine Enphase system was gone.
Seems port 502 is closed, but Enphase says it should be open,…

Think it is an Enphase issue (they are looking at it now).

I’m having the same issue. Lost the modbus data from the Enphase system. In the VRM device list it states no update for a couple of days. Send Enphase a mail as it looks like the Enphase system isn’t responding.

Thanks a lot, going to contact Enphase!
Ron

What is your location (country)?

I’m in the Netherlands.

Seems to be a dutch issue?
Are more people effected, maybe also from other countries?
I run envoy firmware Softwareversie 8.3.5289 a build from 15 apr, 2026

Our Envoy gateway is running on the same version.

Are only 2 people in the Netherlands effected?
If you see the same issue, modbus communication loss of your Enphase system please react!

For me the same and also in the Netherlands

Hi Berry,

I noticed the same day and +/- the same time this problem.
So maybe Enphase did turned it off for all dutch systems?

I again going to contact Enphase support.

Is there anyone from other countries using modbus???
Would be interesting if only the Netherlands is turned off or other countries do see the same issue.

One of my friends has the same issue, tried to resolve it for him and reached out to Enphase multiple times, no resolution.

Also Netherlands.

Hi Ron

It looks like it has been disabled. I would appreciate it if you could keep me updated on Enphase’s response. If you need anything to compare, please let me know.

Regards, Berry

Hi there, I do have an Enphase solar system with the metered gateway.

Same version but no problems for me.

Hopefully Enphase will fix it for you guys.

Did you also checked if the power limiting function in Enphase is enabled?

this is probably needed for the functionality?

BTW I am also in the Netherlands

George

Thanks George!

Interesting, same software and hardware.

Could you please check if your envoy has port 502 open?
Found a tool called “angry IP scanner” that can do that.
Under settings you must add port 502, see picture

I only see (192.168.178.59) port 443 open and not 502.
Is you envoy connected by wi-fi or ethernet?
I don’t use Wi-Fi.

I don’t use Wi-Fi with the Envoy either.

Both my enphase gateway and cerbo gx are on Wi-Fi. Will make some changes to the network today to put them both on a wired LAN connection. I will keep you guys posted it it helps.
